The KettlePizza is a great deal with the groupon. The inexpensive stone would shatter first use when you get that grill temp over 700. I have gone through two stones both bargain brands. I am going to get the Weber Gourmet System Stone for my next one.

the best pizza stone for the weber is the red sky - but it appears the company either went under, or they suck at paying their hosting (and suck at maintaining their social media too).

The kettle pizza groupon seems like a good deal, assuming shipping is free. How much is shipping?

Factor in another 200 for the prograte, tombstone, and baking steel and its still a pretty good savings.
Local restaurant supply should have peels for ~$20

I agree with this 100%!  I use a kiln shelf in my KP adaptor, and never had an issue with it.
They should be able to handle temperatures of 2000℉ without cracking.  Plus, they are not expensive.

I strongly recommend it over buying a traditional "pizza stone" that you would find in a store.

If the kiln shelves are made from cordierite and haven't been used or treated with silica wash or other treatments, they are food safe.

I'm seriously tempted to try this, especially after I did some quick math today on our yearly Dominoes expenditures. 

And re: stones, I've had decent luck with a piece of square cut Pennsylvania field stone.  I went to the stoneyard and picked the smoothest piece I could find.  I've had it up to 600 degrees with no problems.  And the pizza doesn't stick to the surface.
