I didn't know the electric kettles came in the 18 inch size. Has anyone ever come across one of those?

Jeff has a nearly mint Red one. I have a rough condition black one.. Never seen a 22.

How does the smoker attachment work?  lol

Previous speculation..........

http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/smoker-attachment-for-the-kettle/msg35891/#msg35891

Blew up the pic & still can't really tell........looks to be something that raises the food up a few inches, has a bar-like frameworks around the rim, perhaps to allow 'smoke' to flow out around the edges, contact the food before exit?

Odd concept, but that might be what they were after......

What a glorious find! Super cool catalog which is very multi-cultural I might add! Love it!  8)

Does anyone have one of the work table racks? I don't think I've seen that accessory before.

there's a 1974 weber recipe book on ebay right now.
the description of the attachment says instructions are in the recipe book.

i was thinking the same thing.  all buying age groups and several nationalities are shown.  the marketing people were doing their jobs!

+1

those were made for us and they didn't even know it.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

I traded this mint 18.5" electric red kettle to Reilly a few months ago.  Interesting little kettle

Seeing electric kettles in the 1974 catalog but they are not in the 1979 catalog tells me that they didn't sell them for very long. '79 is only gas.

Oh and +1 on Sequoia/Seville=Hot Chic magnet!

Evidently having a Ranger means your the weird guy with no girlfriend.... :P
