So I am thinking if the above is possible

Anyone have both to compare the bowl designs?

I realize the legs would be custom

Ive seen pics where a guy turned one into a smoker by sandwiching a steel cylinder between the lid and bottom.  It looked like it would work well.  Im not sure the bowl is deep enough to provide much space for coals and a grate in a traditional grilling sense.  Experiment a little....that's the fun part.

You can use a Washer or dryer drum for this purpose. It's not airtight, but cheap and perfect for grilling.
