The turf is fine.  Those are beach stones from up my folks way. Should get a patio stone, though.

Holy sh!t, Stu ... that looks outstanding!!  :D :D

I really like the feet on the legs.  Great colour and contrast with the kettle bowl.

Thanks!  While I have been thinking about something along these lines for a while, theres no way I would have done this without seeing your fantastic, yet simple design first.  Looking forward to burning a log or two this evening!

This is a great thread.... I love both designs except it's making my kettle fire pit look a bit amateurish
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Isn't yours an 18 made from an SS washer tub?  I totally love that thing!
You just need to slam it down a bit.. 8)

I'm using a short arse 18 as a fire pit. If you need a 22 for a base, I may have a  roached black you can convert.
If it breathes, we can cook it!

Hogsy

Thanks Joe but I have a few spare bowls, but I haven't found a washing machine tub to fit a 22

That's awsome, I got a 18" free 86 out of the trash from work and chopped the legs for a s'mores kettle.
