Outstanding!  Congrats on truly the best condition SS to date!  Does the tank have the triangular OPD valve on it?  That would be the only issue a normal propane filler would bark at.
All of my performers have A triangle handle which means the tank has an opd never any problem getting them filled at ace hw.

It's funny because I almost didn't buy it because its green, but it turns out that really didn't matter.. still can't sleep.

Not sure if that can be topped,  You Win.  Kinda make you wonder what else is hiding out there.

You are right. It is really amazing what people will hold onto. I remember about 25 years ago, holy shit I'm sounding old now, there was this stretch where people were finding/searching for old Harley Davidson motorcycles. It was so exciting trying to find these old bikes on abandoned farms. There is even a rumor that they found Elvis' first motorcycle in a barn. Now its 80's cars everyone is looking for to turn into hot rods.. nonetheless, I gotta say looking for Webers to RRR is pretty damn fun too!

OK, I'm gonna go start putting it together...its like Christmas morning

Truly amazing.  Did you wind up paying the asking price, or was he willing to go lower?  Can't wait to see this thing unboxed!  Congrats!!

Awesome score! It's nice that you don't need to RR this one ... just assemble, eh?!!

You did enough work on that green to yellow restore ..  :D 8) ;)

All of my performers have A triangle handle which means the tank has an opd never any problem getting them filled at ace hw.

Both of mine are good-to-go also, but I have seen performers with a 5 point star top.  Just last weekend at Weberfest VA had one in use.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

I re-filled all of the performer tanks that were in use at WeberFest VA this week, and the guy filling the tanks (who seemed very knowledgeable) confirmed that they all have OPDs.
