Extra features are great but all i really want is a better display. Higher contrast and more vibrant. I have poor eyesight so i rarely use my classic and mk4.

I have a Mk iv and really like it but I believe there are areas to improve. It it would be nice if the probe could be folded out past 180 degrees to work better when using your left hand.  That or a display on both sides of the unit so you can read it when using it on the left.

Ok I’ll give you that. I’m a lefty and that is a bit of a pain. But a lifetime of adapting to a right handed world it’s second nature 🤣

I love my MK4.. Onboard history, rechargeable, smaller, none of these potential upgrades I wonder about sound any better than the current one. I'm curious though!

I think it is pretty awesome as is.  About the only thing I could think of that would be really cool would be a input for a wire probe so you could get dual use out of it.

So it is the Thermopen One.  One second temperature time.  Probably quite a feat of engineering, but I will probably wait a bit and see if a good sale comes along.  The MK4 does the job quite well for my needs.

I just received my shipping notice. I called Thermoworks about one of my generation 1 Thermopens that had hinge issues that was out of warranty. Repair would be $35 flat fee including shipping. They offered me 35% off if I just trade it in. I should have the new one by Friday.
