I would love to score one of these!

I too am or very interested in the gourmet grates...seems like mostly just a extra expense in the name of having a sear grate, mostly.

Just scored one of those new in that identical box, box was sun faded and almost ruined but the wok is in good condition still with manufacturing oil on it. Few spots of rust. Will clean, season and use I think.

Grabbed it for free out of the neighbour's front yard rubbish pile

Thanks so much!  I think it would work fine then.

Not a bad idea.  You might need to weld/attach some tabs on the bottom of the bowl similar to the Weber design.  Alternatively you might be able to experiment with some other methods that don't just have the whole Wok sitting on the edge of the Weber bowl.  I imagine that it air gap can be helpful to keeping the heat going.

congrats on the wok score, NIB, and a free rescue!  Nice!

Blast from the past to see a 1buckie post, still so very helpful.
