So I finally got a hold of something from Weber that's older than I am.  Based on what I'm seeing in the old catalogs, this is from the early 60s. I've got a really nice mid-70s small tab 18 I could use it for (pictured), but it's just not the same without the old style wheels. I'll have to keep my eye out for one.

I like those covers as well, still on the quest for one though
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I would have loved if it were a 22" for my 70/71, but I'm certainly not complaining.

NICE!

Back in the early 60's, all we had for a grill cover was a sheet of clear plastic AND WE LIKED IT!
