I picked up a C code WSM last week. Plan to restore as good as possible. It sat in an old garage unused for maybe 15 years. The charcoal grate was sitting in old ash all that time. When I pulled it out it literally fell to pieces. Anybody have an extra replacement or suggestions of a reasonable priced replacement? I know its 15.25 inches in diameter. Thanks in advance for any help! Steve

Hmm. I'd be reasonably happy with Grill Part's $25 price for the #63013. Shipping from tends to be reasonable, especially when combined with other goodies.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Sweet. Love the handle, but 'C' was the year of "The One. The Only" handles....

@inkaddictedchef1  Very NICE.  They are really beautiful to behold and fun to cook on. :)  Good collection you got along the wall ...

SJ

@Bob BQ   My C-Code Smokey Joe, bought new, didn't come with a "The One & Only" handle either, but it was early enough to have grate straps within the bowl to support the cooking grate.

Don't get me wrong, it's obviously a C code WSM,and I love the 5th anniversary handle (I've got a couple myself, from last years Chicago meet-up extravaganza)... I was attempting to imply that a new Zavod handle with The One. The Only emblazoned on it would look quite choice.

Sweet SJ, SJ! I've got a couple of C code Smokey's... Both  have the One/Only handles and no grate straps. One of the C codes is later... the bowl vents are E code.  I also have a pre-1979 SJ with grate straps, and just picked up a B code SJ.

@Bob BQ   Nice collection, but, that's a lot of hot dog & sausage cooking power in that many SJ's :)

I guess I never posted a pic of the C. I know no picture it doesn't exist!

Something you can do is visit a local welder or machine shop and see what they may have laying around to use as a grate. Take some finished ribs with you and it will probably be free.

Thanks @CharlieGF I fabricated a charcoal grill out of heavy gauge expanded metal. Fits and works well!
