I really love Weber's customer support.
The question about the model has been answered within 1 hour and few emails sent and received.

And here the final answer:

"The Sears economy is still basically a Happy Cooker.

We made them using the remaining inventory of UNR Happy Cooker components with some slight design tweaks, and given the handle design I do agree with your assessment that the model you have is more likely to be the Sears economy kettle version of the Happy Cooker. The "L" date code on the lid means it was likely made in 1989"

BTW, maybe some of you did know (I really didn't) that Sears economy was simply a modified HC. IMHO it was the best part of the story with the pickup from last week[emoji3]
