I have the new red and it has a BI code, both in large letters and in the serial number.  There's a pic in the LE red thread.

Hogsy

I guess BI is the 2017 code then?

My new Red LE vent code is BM.

From what I have read, there are two sets of codes. The first is based on the code word CONSUMABLE (C=1, O=2, N=3, etc.). So 2016 would be CM and so on. There is also another code word BLACQSMIXH (same number equivalency). So 2016 for that would be BS.

That info is available on TVWB site.

Darko

If that's the case then BI is the 2018 code.

Or is CB for 2018?

Maybe the China built kettles have the BLACQSMIXH prefix, that's how the Compact kettles work over here.
Got a link to the tvwbb post @bigssa ?
