Help, someone please talk me out of a 26" that I don't need.

Interesting subjet. I have long hesitated between the 22 and 26, but finally chose the 22 considering that there are many accessories allowing to gain cooking space (stacker or moesta bbq ring for smoking, rotisserie ... ).

Thanks again folks for all of the great feedback and replies. I have a 26 on the Christmas list for sure. Not sure i want to go vintage due to lack of grate availability. The current model is perfect, though a blue option would be nice.

I thought i saw a red one in the 1966 catalog. It might be in others but i just looked in the 66 catalog.

The older ones came in Red, Coppermist, Black and Westerner color.  There's only one blue  26" that I know of.

Well, my WSM went away today so i am one step closer to a 26 - which is probably one of the grills i should have looked at instead of the WSM (IMHO, anyway).

Now i am having fantasies of selling off my Performer and going with a Summit.
