Hey folks. I purchased (and then returned via amazon prime) the Flame Boss 300. It is a decent piece of hardware but for the money, I like the BBQ Guru CyberQ Cloud better, mostly because the ShareMyCook.com web site is a lot more developed than the MyFlameBoss.com web site. The CyberQ has a direct access mode so you do not need to use their web site at all. Maybe I missed it but I did not see where the FlameBoss had that option.

The build quality is better on the CyberQ and I will go into that more when I get around to filming the CyberQ review. I did not really like the bubble buttons on the FlameBoss and could not get the circuit board out of the unit without possibly breaking something. The buttons on the CyberQ are better - they are hard buttons that can be removed and cleaned. I was aos able to get the circuit board easily. I just might have to desolder that silly buzzer like I did in my DIY temp controller project.

I have had both the FlameBoss 300 and the CyberQ Cloud in my hands. I compare them in the video as well as the Stoker II. I have never see a Stoker II in person but I did call the company in Fremont California (about 25 minutes south of me) and asked them a bunch of pointed technical questions directly.

Anyway, here is my two part review. Please post any questions. I do plan to release a two part video review on the CyberQ Cloud as well and will post a separate discussion thread on that.
