I wouldn't do another thing to it. Looks good as is. Enjoy using it!

Cool part is that it came with that condiment rack and a Weber rib / roast rack also!
This is also the 4th condiment rack I have seen here.. and I now have 2 out of the 4 ;-)
I just cleaned the wood handle and hit it with teak oil.

It looks about perfect right there. I have a faded black MBH that looks just like yours and it's my go-to cooker! I did a quick scrape / cleanup.. cleaned the legs, triangle and ash pan and went straight to cooking. There is a good grill cleanup page here at WKC. Embrace the patina & enjoy!
Seeking either 56-58 anything or Westerner

Beautiful! I'd take it off your hands in a second.

Please don't paint the triangle. You'll be amazed how easy it is to clean the rust off that triangle with some steel wool. Great find! Love the faded blacks.

I'll do my best, but there is already silver paint on the triangle :-(
I guess I'm lucky, that looks like the only thing that has been worked on or touched up.

I shouldn't have said that anyway. Your grill, do what you want  :)

Bertman

Agreed. Keep it clean and original. Love the fade. That's a real beauty!

Looks great! The teak oil was a good idea. You could clean/polish the triangle and legs a bit, but I wouldn't do anything else to the porcelain.

No reason to overhaul a beautiful cooker.
Still need a 22" yellow

That kettle looks terrific right now! I would not change a thing.

@vwengguy  -  Wow! The patina on that handle is amazing.  Only the second one I have seen that has that tiger stripe fade pattern on the handle.  It is definitely worthy and has paid it's dues to be featured in the Patina Appreciation Society - Weathered Warrior thread.  Please add that photo to the thread.

I think the faded black MBH is my second favorite behind a glorious redhead.
