Have a neighbor that gave me some sassafrass chunks. Anyone ever used sassafrass as a smoke wood???
I wonder what protien would work for this?
Any insight from the group?

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles. Big and small. Vintage and New... Some say I have a problem. I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

I don't know about smoking but I have made handles from it and it smells unbelievable when you cut it. It's got a great smell to it.....

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

It has a high oil content and burns well. Roots were used for tea/ medicinal value and at one time it was traded at a higher value than gold....
Never cooked with it though.
