These are the first 2 I found, liked, and bought after surfing through CL and LetGo. The faded was in GA and the first I'd seen. So being new to this I snatched it up lol. It took four different bbq friends to relay it from north GA to FL for me. The ssp was about an hour away. I wasn't particularly looking for one but it was $80 and complete and everything works, with no rust. I offered $60 and got it. Seemed like a good price from what I read here. Granted it's black but maybe I can change out for a color down the road.

Nice score. That's a good deal on an SSP even if it's black.

You did well! I'd love the black for that price.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Love the faded ones, and the ssp.

Forgot to mention the faded is extra-rare, being caddywampus and with an upside down triangle. Let the bidding wars begin haha.

@Rub , there is nothing wrong with a black kettle....it is a classic look that never goes out of style.
I like my Kettles like my coffee....strong and black.

This. So many treat the black ones as beaters and such but the more I cook on my black ones the more I like them.

Good buys. The black is classic -- I like it. I wouldn't swap it out for a color.

I have a Black and A Red SSP.  Both EE Codes.  The Black SSP is my go to / work horse.  The Red head "Louisa" is now my Pizza Cooker.  (Yes... I name my kettles)...  I know... weird huh???

I agree with @jcnaz   There is nothing wrong with a black kettle.  when they are cleaned up and all shiny, the are very SEXY!!!

Just my $.02 worth...

Grill on folks.. Grill on!!

Jeff
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
