Introducing the Brownie camper kettle
« on: May 30, 2017, 03:55:15 PM »
MadMax had given me this brownie lid and bowl last year, solely for the handle, at a meet up when I picked up a handleless yellow he agented for me.
I've been staring at this brownie all winter thinking how rough it is. Missing back handle, Superbad crazing all over the bowl, the tabs that hold the charcoal grate are all broken off. Just all around bad shape, but has a great 2 river handle!
Fast forward to summer time. I'm thinking that I'm always hauling around a couple grills with us to go camping. Normally it's a JJ or an 18" or both trying to save space but always lacks size cooking for four, and I really don't want to haul around the faded black cause it'll get joshed around in the bed of the loaded truck.
I had collected well enough spare parts since joining the club, I decided to dedicate the brownie as our camping cooker and crissen its first trip and cook with us tonight!
Ive got the wheels taped on right now until I can pick up some wheel nuts for it, but she's got some pork steaks in her right now!

Looks like yall had a good time and some good food.

You'll get tons of use from that kettle and your kids will remember it forever...especially if you torch 1/2 a can of lighter fluid playing with fire.
You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

Nice setting Travis. Pretty nice ranch and stables in the background too.  That brownie is a little battle scarred but I'm sure cooks as good as a brand new MT.
