My First MBH ( faded black)- Pic heavy

Got my first MBH , I think it from 1978 . Seemed to be faded back and their is some rust holes near stand. Had two grates with charcoal and nice twist pan. Also little bit roundness issue on Bowl - but I think manageable.

Got for 30 as thought it will be cool to have 39 year old kettle.

that's a fine looking machine , pity bout the rusty sockets but that's minor . no ashpan ?

As long as those sockets are strong, i would leave it caddywompis. Nice looking blackie.

Congrats on your first MBH score. Looks good! Mine is just as bad around the leg sockets. There are ways to redo that area, but I leave it the way it is.

That's gonna make a sweet old cooker! Black MBH are my favorite kind of black kettles. Nice score!
