Ranch Kettle question?
« on: November 29, 2016, 06:35:13 PM »
Does anyone own a Ranch Kettle from the 1990's? I'm talking about a 4 wheeled cart mounted Ranch Kettle manufactured before the year 2000? What is the diameter of this grill?

I was looking on the Weber website under owners manuals for Ranch Kettles. According to the information they provide, it says that all 4 wheeled cart mounted Ranch Kettles built prior to the year 2000 were 44.75" inches in diameter. I was under the impression that all Ranch Kettles that were ever produced from their inception in the 1950's to the present day were all 37.5" in diameter? Does anyone own a mid/late 1990's cart mounted Ranch Kettle? What is the diameter of one of these units?

This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

Are you sure that that figure is just the kettle size or the overall width of the cooker which would include the cart which is wider and would make the overall dimension larger?

No, the size that Weber always gives for its cookers is always expressed as diameter of the bowl in inches. According to their information, the diameter of the bowl of a Ranch Kettle produced between 1992 and 1999 is 44.75 inches, not the 37.5 inches we know today.

I didn't realize that. I wonder why the owners manual for that same grill says on the front cover 44.75" (114cm) while the catalog says 37.5" (95cm)? Anyone have any theories about why the discrepancy?
