Greendude.................holy fucking crap!!!!!!!! Okay okay okay...................I knew you were "into" this passion we nutters on this board indulge in but THIRTY hours driving for a Kettle?????? Oh man.....I am impressed. I knew you were probably good so passing on information to you directly and indirectly concerning Kettle finds in our area this Summer was something I did without hesitation.....boy was I ever bang on. Good....very good.

Was it 30 hours each way or round trip? Google says it would be 20 for me each way.

Correct! 30 hrs each way almost non-stop.  23 to 25hrs  plus washroom stops every 200 to300 km, gas every 600km and 3 to 4hrs sleep in between. Food and drinks I had in the cooler. Drinking and eating while driving to save time.  Also 1.5hrs at the US border.

I wanted to do something like this for a long time but was to chicken to do it until now.  I am so so glad I did it. The felling is equivalent to finishing grueling Marathon run.

@ MrHoss- you are way too kind and too funny. ;D ;D ;D   I was not going to mention about this as my wife and kids and everyone else think I am crazy for doing this.   But keep in mind, picking up a kettle was not the only intention.  It just happen to be the catalyst for something I been meaning to do for long time.

Got her all cleaned up.  It is actually in a real good shape.  No lid rim rash, lid to bowl fit is bang on, the bowl and bottom vents are almost new. Even the grill grates are like new after cleaning. Only the ash pan was hard to get crud off.  I only changed out the wheels as the original white walls were disintegrating. I even did burn in to see the color change and cook some corns on it.

Pic heavy.

Color change here.

And when it got super hot.... the lid changed to this.

Just kidding  ;D ;D ;D

For some reason, pics are turning 90deg.
Thank you all for sharing in on my excitement.
