Kettle Covers
« on: July 30, 2016, 09:06:42 AM »
Well, I've reached the station in life where I have a nice 22.5" with O'Neal furniture and I want to store it covered.
The standard Weber kettle cover is junk, IMO.

I'm looking at the two premium versions...7149 and 7150
Someday I may install a lid bale.
Would the 7150 be too over-sized for a OTG or is it just slightly bigger than 7149 ?

I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Great stuff LB !
Thanks for taking the time.

I had a thinking error....my OTG cannot accommodate a lid bale because of the second handle.
So...I'll be getting a Weber premium 7149 or the Veranda.
I simply can't embrace the tan color, but if I can find the gray version...

I honestly use the Walmart black covers. They work well, last all year, and are about 6 bucks.

I really don't like the covers that let the "feet stick out" since our kettle(s) live outside all year long.

Here it is...

For 17 bucks, it's a nice product.
The fabric reminds me of marine canvas.
The outside is the nylon or polyester material and the PVC membrane is on the inside.
It just barely fits a 22.5" OTG (two opposing handles).

I have the heavy duty Weber cover for my WSM.
On the Weber, the coating is on the outside....it would be better in direct exposure to a harsh winter.

My aftermarket lives under cover so it will be fine.
And the winters aren't severe out here.
