Next up...Smokey Joe stacker mod.
« on: January 23, 2016, 12:23:34 PM »
My old smokey Joe was nearly sent to the dumpster after sitting in the yard for years until I saw a mod on here recently.  But fate must have saved it from the inevitable and now being rehabilitated. So I bought this steamer from Target and fits perfectly on the Joe. Project will start soon.

Interesting charcoal selection too.

Nice save!

I don't think I'll ever get rid of my mini.

Saw a bag of that being used on Aaron Franklin's TV show. Haven't found it here in GA unfortunately.

I'm sorry to say I neglected my super nice early '80s SJ last year. Not sure what its fate is; I've got a mini in the works also, soon as it thaws a little down here!

Sweet setup, @Bustin Butt , who do you cook for with that pull-behind?
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Thank you

I found the lump coal at Academy sporting goods store. I'm not sure if you have one in your area.

I use my pull-behind mostly for charity and competition events locally. There is one event that I attend annually is Hogs for the Cause in New Orleans.
