No sir..just kinda figured the best positioning and went for it. After i got the bale attached I let the bracket hit where it wanted and made a mark for it.
No bending necessary.  Only issue i had was the bottom bracket hit right in the way of the one touch. I cut 1/2" of the end of that blade and it seems to be ok.
It is probably not a super fit, but it does work and hold the lid right. Even stands the lid up almost straight, like the new lid bale on the performer.

I've  had a golf cart for years..recently sold me electric one and  bought a used gas cart from...my Ex Wife lol. Love my golf cart.
