@Hell Fire Grill haha you just made my night. No I could care less about the chemicals it's more so for the weight/ appearance. I think a painted black cart with stainless top and bottom would look great.

If the wood is still wet and heavy from the treating process it just needs some time to dry out on its own.  It will lighten up as it dries out too.

Yeah, it's ok so far. But I see a lack of planning. Where does this go?

Here is the 99% completed pics. Still want to mount wheels, more hooks and I'm going to make a piece of sheet metal to sit under ash catcher and for chimney starter to sit on.. I will see how I like the lid hanger but will most likely order a lid hinge after the holidays. Took 60$ in wood and I had all the fasteners that I needed. Total time including sketching, cultist, and fab was about 4hrs.

Build that top shelf out one more and you have a spot for a light!
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

Looks like a  2 bulb, 4' fluorescent light would mount under the small top shelf. You could maybe face it with a piece of 5/4 to disquise it.

I wouldn't be as worried about the treated wood giving off heat as much as I would be worried about the whole thing catching fire.  I made my wood table out of treated wood, I never smelled anything, but I have set it on fire more than once.  So much so I am going to re-do it (someday) out of aluminumand concrete.....My 4" x 4" legs are burned more than half the way through.....
