So a year ago I picked up this red 18 for $20. It had a pretty hard life, but it wasn't too far gone.

This weekend I finally got around to cleaning her up and doing the midget mod.

Everything was cleaned, scraped, and polished. I also added the OTG ash catch assembly. The wood handles were cleaned up with steel wool and coated in danish oil. As you can see I've already cooked on it.

More pics to come tomorrow.

The midget mod is awesome, it makes traveling with it so much easier.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Excellent mod... looks great! I've done this with a 22, but have yet to make a midget 18 (already have an Outrider). Recently picked up a free 3 vent blaik 18... might have to try it out on that one.

Please refrain from using the term "midget", as some find it to be an offensive term.....just kidding!
