It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

What do they want for it? SJs are pretty easy to come by cheap if not free. Nothing special about this one. Now, if it had an offset handle, then you should've been there and back already! :)

some people like the older SJ's with the smaller top vent. They don't cook any differently but they are cool! Some of these older smokey joes also had three smaller vents on the bowl.

Lid vent looks standard size to me in that picture. I have and '87 that's like this, and a '96 or so, made after the current changes. The ones like this here can't remove the ash pan without leg disassembly (so, swapping out a new one, or a modified pie pan etc likely wouldn't happen), the legs are rounded metal that does not work in the current Weber portable table shared with the current Jumbo Joe and interestingly, the cooking grate fits more securely on the later (current) ones, so the bowl's grill notch is slightly different as well.

So unless you want the wooden handle, IMO the current SJS that got redesigned in the early 90s is a better, more flexible  machine in most cases.

That's anywhere from a 1982-1993 standard SJ with the standard lid vent and the single large bottom vent.
