I gave it test run yesterday with a chimney worth of charcoal last night. It was ready to pour into the kettle in 8mins and that was only half strength. I'm not really after speed of getting the kettle up to temp at home as I tend to use my Performer to light a chimney, I'll probably use this for camping and BBQ comps, although it does give my a little more leverage for lighting the kettle over the Q for those mid week cooks.
I work in the energy industry and this was made by the company I work for back in the day for melting down Pitch( tar/bitumen) to pour over high voltage cable joints. Techniques have changed so in the bin they went
