this is incredibly easy to do I followed Troy's instructions the front leg was 20 inch long as took off about 35 to 40 % about 7.5 inches of the 20.

I think the same could apply to the 22 incher.  If it is 24 inches long(IDK how long it is) take off 9 inches, you would take off the same on the top of the two back bars as well.

With the triangle cut the outside triangle and make it fit.

@pbe gummi bear what do you think a mini 22?

I think it would tip over but people had done it before for firepits.

I'd like to see someone strap a SJ to the midget legs and full size sockets.

Is it possible to make a mini 22? I'd like to make one out of my spare black 22.  Any idea what dimensions to cut the legs and triangle down to?

Yes... this very faded blaik used to be the bowl for my WSM mutt (now I use a red). Not sure of the exact dimensions... I can get them for you soon, if needed.

Your dimensions would probably be a little short since I have an OTG that I'd be converting. Thanks for the offer though.

So the ash cannister rests on the ground for extra stability......maybe?

I like it! I wonder if you could use the bail from a JJ to lock the lid for transport, you could take it to the park or where ever and be the envy of the other grillers trying to grill on something else.
Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

awesome! does the lid lock wire also serve as a lid bale? If so, how does it work in the location/angle you mounted it in?

Yes it does work as a lid bail. The whole unit works very well, I just wish that I had more time to take it traveling.
