70s Black MBH score

It's been a while, y'all. I was out riding my bicycle today in the 76º weather here and happened upon this black MBH. It looks to be in great shape, but is missing the ash pan. Other than that, I can't wait to clean it up and show you guys. My sister happened to be in the area and came by and picked it up for me. It had the pair of tongs and then a chimney in it.

That will make an amazing cooker. The perfect price to boot.

Can't beat free! The lid being dull and all made me think that it may have been painted? Maybe not.... Just got excited that it may be a yellow or a lime hiding beneath black paint... Look forward to seeing it shined up and cooking! Congrats!

On second glance, the lid vent turn tab rules out my first theory. Is it '78, '79, or '80?

That is a classic. I like the price too. Clean her up and get her dirty!
