Good idea on the cardboard template.
I forgot to mention I made my own charcoal basket out of an old kettle, it holds as much as two weber baskets and is about the same size as the smokenator, the tray fits the basket and the smokenator

I made a setup for the 22 and the 18. The 18 also fits the JJ and works great
The 18/JJ setup
