@glrasmussen don't get me wrong, it looks great. that's why i asked if you used a kreg's to begin with. the finished top looked like you may have. is that mahogany? kinda looks like it from the grain patterns.great job! it looks awesome.

That's a sweet idea. I have access to a cabinet shop and could bang these out in no time. Wonder how a butcher block countertop would look? It would be 1 1/4" thick. You could use it like a cutting board and would be thick enough to sand down and refinish a few dozen times.
