Weber introduces easy-reach lid handle

Angled for more comfortable grip. So long as you're approaching from the correct side.

Belongs to a neighbor, owner of an AA-code hard-luck OTG. Had to drill holes and use bolts to reattach the handle after dropping the lid one day. I wouldn't have expected the handle to snap off but his did.

I helped indirect-grill some chicken after he stepped away from direct-cooking and burning a few of the burgers and dogs with the lid off. "By the way, does this lever not move?"

"No, it's stuck wide open."

What makes a One Touch lever seize? I don't think he cares about any of it, but of course it bugs ME. I probably wouldn't show up there to "fix" it without a Dremel and replacement blade set, just in case.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

alcohol.

actually what makes the lever seize is corrosion, rust and/or hardened food deposits that lock it in place.

I only use kettles with lid bales.

Well ... it is an AA code ...

Have him answer these 20 questions to see if he really has a problem:

I added a 21st question ...

21. Do you abuse 3 year old Weber kettles?
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.
