Where do you hang the base station?  I'm thinking of getting one but I would think that hanging it to the lip of the kettle would be WAY too hot for it.

I usually use the Maverick with my performer so I use the side table...or on the shelf of my smoker.  When I use it on my OTG I just set it on the ground or a card table...or the performer table if they are close enough together.  Definitely don't hang it from the lip of the kettle...handle maybe, lip no.

No longer made....sometimes they will show up on Ebay.
