It does sound funny if you don't live here. In fact I grilled last night. This is our down season and it's usually raining at this time of year, we know Spring is just around the corner when we can wear t shirts all day rather than dress in layers. It's also a lot more enjoyable when the parks are nice and dry. We were just planning a meet up to do a few trades and not expecting such a great turnout.

I lived in the East Bay area for several years, and I know it gets a bit chilly.  Certainly enough to make one think about waiting for warmer weather to have an outdoor gathering.  If anything, I'm jealous of being able to see some green grass in January and take in all of those views.
