Does someone have a new 26er they can measure the grate diameters? My ER flat-top uses a top grate that is 24 5/8" diameter, and the charcoal grate is 19 1/2". I know they are both different than the new kettles, but not sure by how much. Thanks!

The charcoal grate for the newer 26.74 is 21.75 (± 1/8".)
kettles, smokers...

I can measure when I get home.

New grates:

Charcoal is 21.75
Cooking is 25.25

I have pics if you want em Marty.  Those sizes are quite a bit larger than the old
ones I guess.

thanks G$.
I just got home from work and was about to go measure the grate.

now i can shoot some whiskey and pass out instead

One of the 22s I boufht last week had a wierd looking grate that was bigger than a charcoal, but smaller than a cooking grate. So I figure its a 26 charcoal  it would have been about 19 inches. I guess it's the older one.

If it breathes, we can cook it!

Joe, other manufacturers also make grates that are similar but not precisely the same as stock. IS it possible you simply had a non weber branded one?

And by the way, the new 26er Charcoal grate is virtually the same size as a current 22er Cooking grate.  You could definitely use a current 22 cooking grate as a 26er charcoal grate if you had too (in that it does fit fine).
