Well looky what we have here
« on: April 12, 2023, 09:29:00 AM »
FINALLY got myself a SSP! Marketplace find not 20 miles from me!
Green P code, has its expected flaws, no surprise for 30 years old. One enamel chip in the bowl, and some where the lid handle was reattached where the welds failed.
But overall it appears intact and strong shape.
Even has the original LP tank, lid thermometer, and old style Char-baskets!
First step is a good thorough cleaning to see exactly what I got, and then the ideas will flow....
Maybe swap it out with a blue performer lid and bowl I have sitting in my basement....

Congratulations!  Agree with Mr. C, these are fun to restore and even more fun to use.  Mine was my go to during the cold months this past winter.....  Have fun!
