Snared another 18" kettle in Alameda. Thankfully I'm finding grills and not puppies or cats.

I've now added 4 grills to my quiver since March '20.
1. 18 inch avocado.
2. New Braunfels smoker
3. Charbroil gas grill (best ignition I've ever seen on a gas setup).
5. 18" black kettle. I need to age her....

Drilled-out the air-vent lever mechanism; gave her a bath; capped the leg with a lacrosse stick end-cap—and she will be back in service once the replacement part arrives.

Was that the New Braunfels in Dublin?

No sir.  Right here in alameda.  Somebody dragged it to the curb.  I spent $100 bringing her back to life. New grate & temp gauge.

Curious to know, what makes the ignition system the best you've seen?  Also, any pictures of the setup you can post?

Nice. Lots of freebies out there in our area. I'll keep you in mind when something pops up nearby.

It just starts nicely. Fires right up. It's an electric ignition, not a snap.

I've only had one gas grill—when I lived on a boat. It sucked. A Magma propane grill with a snap starter.
