Texas Roadhouse Selling Raw Steaks in the Parking Lot?

Anybody else hear about this? Tried it? If so, what kind of prices did you find, and how was the meat quality?

My mom just bought four big ribeyes for $30 from the one where she lives, but I called the TR here in my town and they were trying to push some big package that included potatoes, a salad, a bottle of wine, etc. When I finally asked them about getting just the steaks, they said they’re $16 each. Doesn’t sound like that great of a deal, especially since I’m guessing they’re choice grade.

Well, the math tells me that's a bad deal, but I'd be more concerned about the safety of buying raw meat from a restaurant. That's just me though.

My guess is they’re trying to unload excess inventory.  It’s not a good deal from what I’ve seen.
