...then I saw the clicked on the ad & saw it was just a Happy Cooker with a triangular pan like thing connecting the legs.

So disappointing.

I thought I'd post it in case some others had not run across a Happy Cooker like this one.

Happy Cooker never made a kettle with a tray like that.  Looking at the legs, I’d have to say that someone added ‘em to a HC kettle.  They’re aluminum and have friction socket damage.  HC used thumbscrews for the first production run, then switched to the bolt through style.

Interesting, it doesn't look quite right for a regular Weber triangular ashpan in the age guide.
Does anyone know if there was ever a second version?
I'm guessing, if anyone knows, it might be @harris92.

Perhaps they just found something in a junk pile that worked.  I almost want it just to turn the pan upside & put it on a Weber (even if I have to adjust the height of the legs to get the legs to fit right).

I’m 99.9% sure that Weber only had one design for their tray.  I wouldn’t be surprised if someone got the tray from an old brazier style grill.

Here is a photo quote of the subtle differences between the two types of triangular ash pans Weber produced in the 50"s (compliments of harris92). One style has curved edges and one has straight edge bends.
