I have seen tons of pictures of the Slate and cannot get an accurate idea of the actual color.  Sometimes it's blue, other times it's purple.  I have seen some that look a cool bluish grey color.

Anyone that has seen one in person or owns one I would love to get your thoughts on it.

Thanks!

Darko

It's a dull'ish blue colour. IMO, not one of Weber's better choices.

Looking at a few online it is surely gray-blue, far more gray than blue. It's a subtle color, which means few will want it until 50 years have gone by, then it'll be highly valued of course.

I don't see purple at all, but will concede some periwinkle.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Blue with some gray. No Purple.

Hard to explain the color. I will try to take some pics of mine when I get a chance.

You know how the military fighter jets and vehicles are dull gray, bluish, brownish colors with unique character. I'd imagine that they would look off with candy apple paint.  Well! The Slate is not that dull in color but has that similar unique and vintage feel to it IMO.  I can believe I am saying this. " IMO, the most underrated and the coolest weber color"

It's a nice colour and would look good on an SSP

It's like a battleship grey with some blue added .... That probably doesn't help much.
Definitely a dull, matte finish as Darko mentioned.

@greenweb , Hey, c'mon ... What has been the delay with the pics, eh?!??!  ;D ;) ;)

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

I reckon this is slate

Bear, are you able to buy those down under?  If so, you think you could find me one date code 2017?

@Josh G - cool bluish grey it is.

I also see more blue in person as shown by Bear's sjg, but depending on the lighting.

Here is one pic from the store that shows more Grey than blue.

Photos are Euro Slate Blue MT !
It's kind of a flat / mat finish, color is nice.. sort of blue jeans blue.
I just wonder how you would keep it clean or RRR one without hurting the finish?
I have seen some SJs with this color and they had more shine to them... not a true gloss, but just a little shine.
