Picked up a 26 inch kettle

I've been looking for a 26 inch kettle after reading raving reviews about how great it is. I do cook for 6 people normally, so the 22 incher has its limitations. Finally browsing through Facebook Marketplace, I saw a listing for a moving away sale and the 26 inch kettle was listed on it for $100. I messaged the seller and a really nice lady said they were moving out of the country to Spain and could not take stuff from here since they were moving into an apartment. Found out that their house was just a block away from where I lived, so went there in the evening yesterday and picked it up. It is a little dirty, but is in fairly decent shape. There is slight rust on the lid handle, so please suggest how do I go about removing that rust and cleaning it up. The code on the top vent is "DE", so looks like it was made in 2009 (still has the taco handle). The lady told me they bought it 7 years ago.  She also threw in the premium cover and a grill light. Seems like a good score!

Congrats!!  That is the only grill I own that I would gladly pay full retail price if anything happened to it.

Welcome to the 26ers :) youll love this kettle. It has a crap ton of real estate and whenever you do larger cooks, this will be your "go to" kettle. Looks great
