I went to my local Weber dealer and get boxes as needed. Plus you get to know your local dealer as well.

Can you clarify?  Do you mean you're able to get original Weber packaging from your local dealer?

I'm thinking they assemble grills for customers leaving them with original packaging they'll give you!

That is correct. If you go to a store that sells a bunch they usually put them together for customers.
I went in and spoke with the manager when I needed a 22. Left him my name and number and within 10 days I had a new box. I think the 26r box might be a hard one. I have one but your on the other coast.
Season will be slowing down so get em while you can.
