Sunday dinner

Brined a 4 lb chicken overnight in
1 cup Kosher Salt
1 12oz can of OJ
Two bay leaves
2 limes
And three cloves of garlic
To a gal of water

On the Roti at 350 for 2 hours
Had tech troubles with the pictures but here is the results

Looks great!  Could you taste the flavors from the brine in the end?  Also, what are the little cubes of charcoal?

Someone gave me a box of COCOSWIFT charcoal made out of coconut shells
So i figured what the hell... what a mistake. After like 45 mins I couldn't get hotter than
225 on the kettle.  With all vent open!!! Those cubes produced
Very little heat.. got two chimneys of kingsford blue and shit canned the coconuts and poured
On the good stuff...
