One of the most unique culinary experiences I have ever attended.  Almost everything is open pit fire roasted. The amount of food, wine, spirits and beer was amazing. Whole heritage pig(studded with black truffles & rotisserie roasted), lamb, goat, salmon, tuna, oysters, rabbit, ribs, "black pig" bacon, pretty much everything. There are also butchery demonstrations.  Expensive but considering once you enter the event grounds, everything is unlimited. I would recommend not driving to and from this event with the amount of beer, wine & spirits you have access to. The event is at the Charles Krug Winery in St, Helena, California. These pictures are from 2012.

This looks awesome. I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing it as that's my wife's bday BUT that kind of stuff is what she's into.

@pbe gummi bear  -   My wife also is very adventuresome. That is my wife sitting on the hay bail (black shirt and white pants) watching the butchery demonstration, second to last picture.  Let me know if you decide to go this year and we could meet at the event.

Wow.  You have just given us more reason to get up there and finish this move as quickly as possible.  Thank you for the heads up!
