I use this one for all of my cast iron, it's silicone I believe and it has a scraper (used it for years).

Lodge has a nice one for grills....I'm sure you can find longer handle ones too

Just don't use anything metal.....you just want something none metal/abrasive to prevent seasoning from coming off.

ChaoSki those look like fantastic suggestions! I knew about the Lodge example but not the OXO, which seems more suited to grills. I also see a newer version, less money: http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Electric-Grill-Panini/dp/B004ZLAGLS/ref=dp_ob_title_home

I'm thinking these kinds of brushes should also be "better" for regular nickel plated steel, which likely gets the nickel plating slowly scratched by wire bristles.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Yep

I love that brush for cast iron.  I find myself using it less and less as my Cast Iron skills/experience develops.....with my skillets I'm down to just wiping it with papertowel. Took some time to learn this skill hehe, but it's only possible with med/low heat cooking. Med/High is fine but High heat (like grill) and brush is needed for sure.
