SSP cover - talk me out of this plan
« on: August 01, 2016, 01:13:55 PM »
My copper SSP has the new lid bale, so the regular cover designed for the SSP won't fit.

I'm thinking of buying a new cover, then cutting a couple of holes for the handle end of the frame to fit through.

Any real disadvantages?

The big problem I see is that once you cut it, it is probably going to continue tearing. I dont have the new bale on an SSP but I do have it on a Gen 2 and as long as the cover is not cold and is warm from the sun, I am able to get it to fit.

If you have the ability to sew button hole type stitching before cutting you may be gtg.
