I was recently disappointed to see that the enamel on my eponymous copper Performer Premium kettle had spalled off in two places - that is, the enamel has popped off in a little crater, presumably from heat management issues.  I gather this is a common issue, but how common is it?  Is there any way to avoid it?

Pics please I think I have the same issue.

I had bought a copper kettle not to long ago and when I was installing the leg the paint started cracking and chip from the inside and outside, not sure if it's the paint that's doesn't bond to the kettle correctly or if there made cheap

Had mine since last September.  Have not had a problem.
