Cold Call MBH Redhead

I was heading to a curb alert free kettle and smoker ad on Craigslist this afternoon. I arrived, the smoker was gone and the daisy wheel black kettle was in fair shape so I left it for someone who needs it more than me. 

I was driving back through the neighborhood when I spotted a redhead. I stopped and knocked on the door.  No answer. 

I went home and grabbed a unused black OTS that I picked up months ago and a bag of charcoal to see if the owner would like to trade.

I headed back and arrived right when the owner pulled up to her house.  I walked up to her and asked if she was willing to part with it. She was a nice older lady and mentioned that it was an antique. She didn't seem to be interested in selling it so I asked her if she would like to trade for a brand new OTS. I was turned down. I left her with my phone number if she ever changes her mind.

Great try hatch. It's always tuff getting turned down.

If you don't ask, the answer is always no!! She will probably move it now!!

I just saw this post.  I'm with the same situation.  I'm going to ask in the morning with the kettle I saw.
