What would you do?
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:27:34 PM »
I purchased a patent pending Red head yesterday and am rehabbing it.

I have an extra leg set laying around to I decided to swap it.

Only issue is the triangle is the lame 3 bar one.

The original is not bad, it would just take a little time and elbow grease.

should I put the new one on or should I clean up the old one?

I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Clean the old one as best you can. I try to save all original parts on my kettles unless they are shot beyond belief. Plus that 3 bar one looks goofy.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Sometimes a little dish detergent, warm water and 0000 steel wool can make that surface rust go away.
