So I started working on the Seville.  It is in really good shape.  Almost nothing wrong.  The only issue really is that the ash pan is dented, but that's an easy fix.  The other thing wrong, is one of the brackets that makes it sit in the cart was broken.  The little tab broke somehow.  The metal is extremely strong and I have no idea how it could have been broken. Then for some reason then they reinforced the rest of the brackets by adding their own metal brackets next to the existing brackets.  There is one minor chip on the lid and the bottom is just dirty.  THe bottome vents were not even frozen soild, they still moved with ease.  The inside took a half an hour to clean up and it was spotless.  the handle needs some help but it's old.

One of the tiny rods on the bottom of the cart is broke.  I can fix that pretty easily...

More pictures to come...

Man, that did spiff up pretty nice, the interior is exceptional !!!

I really wish there was some way to fix the chips that these older ones get that would fill in with a seamless transition.......
In a way it's a testament to the hi-test finish that Weber puts on them in the 1st place; takes quite a bash  to chip them, but they almost never keep flaking into a larger & larger area

Heckuva nice project !!!

These old Webers can wear their chips proudly.  It's just part of their history...

Looking good so far Brian.
That inside cleaned up really nice.  Is the inside color a little bit lighter than on the newer kettles? Yours almost looks like a grey color.

So, is it gonna be a cooker when you are done with it or a looker?
Kettle collector AND cooker!

Awesome Brian! It's a shame they put those extra brackets on it. I had a gray inside one like that. I think it's actually black with white specks that makes them look that way. Are you going to repaint it white? It's going to be a beauty. Maybe we could put it on the front page. :)

Oh yea I'll get the cart back to bright white...What do you think the box looked like that this thing came in?

Looking good so far! Are you going to leave the original handle or are you going to give it a new one? It looks like it just needs oiled from the pics. And of course, to repeat Jeff's question, is it a cooker or a looker? I vote for cooker! I see a 'Patent Pending' Is this a '68-'70 Seville or did weber have a different patent pending since the Seville had no leg sockets?  ???
